A Las Vegas resident was arrested last week for allegedly threatening U.S. Sen. Jacky Rosen, D-Nev., with him saying he was going to finish “what Hitler started.”

The series of anti-Semitic rants directed at Rosen, who is Jewish, were left on the senator’s voicemail.

They led authorities to charge the suspect, John Anthony Miller, 43, with threatening a federal official.

He was arrested last Thursday and appeared in federal court on Friday. Miller is next scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 13 before U.S. Magistrate Judge Elayna J. Youchah. If convicted, Miller could spend a year in prison.

Many Obscenities

Numerous obscenities were uttered in the messages, according to federal prosecutors.

Messages included sentences as, “All these f*****g lies is in your f*****g hands, you f*****g b***h, and I’m gonna f*****g see you soon, you f*****g sellout f*****g f****t b***h.”

You just f*****g woken up a motherf*****g monster, you f*****g piece of s**t un-human, subhuman, you’re vermin, b***h, you are vermin, b***h, and we’re gonna finish what Hitler started you f*****g s**t.”

“You done picked your side b***h and you done chose evil. I don’t give a f**k if you were bom into it or not, b***h, you are f*****g evil, b***h and we’re gonna exterminate you, f**k”

Miller also left messages that questioned if Rosen has “any family members that [were] Israeli settlers.” He said they were guilty of “war crimes.”

She lets her own family members kill these Palestinians in the West Bank.”

Miller also threatened Rosen’s family, authorities said.

The first group of messages were left between Oct. 11 and 19.

Went to Federal Building

On Oct. 18, Miller appeared at the federal courthouse on Las Vegas Boulevard and demanded to see Rosen. She has an office in that building. Security refused to let Miller see her.

The messages began a few days after Hamas terrorists massacred some 1,400 victims in southern Israel. That led the Israeli military to target Hamas leadership and infrastructure in the Gaza Strip. There have been numerous casualties on both sides.

Rosen is past president of Congregation Ner Tamid, which is Nevada’s largest synagogue. She is also co-chair of the Senator’s Bipartisan Task Force for Combating Antisemitism.

The case was investigated by the FBI, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the U.S. Marshals Service, and the U.S. Capitol Police.

When asked about the incident, Rosen’s office responded, “Threats against public officials should be taken seriously. Senator Rosen trusts the U.S. Attorney’s office and federal law enforcement to handle this matter.”

Miller’s court-appointed public defender, Ben Nemec, told The Daily Beast, he couldn’t comment on the case.
