On Friday, Kamara, 28, admitted he was wrong in the fight that took place at Drai’s After Hours, located at the Cromwell Las Vegas Hotel & Casino.

“Poor judgment on my end, definitely a bad decision, but I’m a man,” Kamara said about the assault, according to CNN.

Anything I’ve ever done in my life, I’ve stood on and I can take accountability for. I can say when I’m wrong, and I was completely wrong. Embarrassed the Saints, embarrassed my family and my mother, embarrassed myself, embarrassed this city and the shield, obviously, embarrassed the NFL.”

Despite the suspension, Kamara and Lammons still can take part in preseason practices and games.

It will be on September 25 that Kamara and Lammons will once again be on each teams’ active roster.

The two players also were found to have violated the league’s personal conduct policy, according to an NFL announcement.

Plea Agreement

Recently, Kamara and Lammons reached a plea agreement following the violent assault at the casino in February 2022.

Under the deal, the players both will complete 30 hours of community service. The two men will also pay the victim, Darnell Greene, $105,196.17 for medical bills, according to TMZ.

The defendants recently pleaded no contest to the criminal charge of breach of peace, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Kamara and three other suspects originally were charged with the more severe crimes of battery with substantial bodily harm and conspiracy to commit battery.

The violence unfolded after Kamara allegedly kept Greene from entering an elevator outside the nightclub.

Lawsuit Settled

A civil lawsuit filed by Greene against Kamara was also settled, news reports revealed.

Details of the settlement weren’t released. But the settlement included an apology from Kamara to Greene.

“Please accept my sincere apologies for the events of February 5, 2022 in Las Vegas,” Kamara stated. “I am happy that we were able to get on the other side of this unfortunate incident, and I wish you the best for the future.”

Greene initially sought more than $10M in the civil court action filed in Louisiana.

Greene claimed he was kicked, punched, and chased. His head also hit a wall during the confrontation, and he fell and lost consciousness, he claimed. Greene also suffered a “disfiguring facial fracture” and blunt trauma to his head from the assault, according to court documents.

Two other suspects, Percy Harris and Darrin Young, also agreed to plea deals where they pleaded no contest to battery. Each will serve 50 hours of community service or pay a $500 fine. Under the deal, they won’t go to the Las Vegas Strip for six months.

Earlier this year, the four suspects pleaded not guilty to conspiracy to commit battery and battery resulting in substantial bodily harm for the attack. The incident occurred during Pro Bowl Weekend, at Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium, with Kamara participating in the game.
