Woman Wins Big at Bingo Year After Heart Attack at Same Vegas Tourney

A woman identified as Pam from Massachusetts won $50,000 Wednesday at a bingo tournament at the Plaza Hotel & Casino in downtown Las Vegas.

There are plenty of lucky people who win many times more than that every day in Las Vegas. What makes Pam’s situation special is that it comes a year to the day that a heart attack took her out of the running for the same tournament last year.

While playing in last year’s October Super Bingo event, Pam experienced chest pain and was admitted to Valley Hospital, according to the Plaza.

Pam declined an interview with Casino.org and asked the casino not to reveal her last name. Here’s a video of her win, though:

Super Bingo is a three-day tournament held nine times a year, drawing nearly around 1,000 people for each event. The next tournament is scheduled for Nov. 27-29.

According to the Plaza, Pam has played in October’s tournament for the past four years.
