The casino, now called Filotimo Casino, will be renamed Revo Casino and Social House following the expansion, according to Foster’s Daily Democrat, a New Hampshire news outlet.

Renovations to the new space will likely be completed in the summer and will include dining, entertainment, and gambling games.

The renovated casino will continue to house a DraftKings sportsbook. The sports betting operation launched at Filotimo Casino in Dover in 2021.

The casino expansion comes in response to customer feedback and the continued commitment to charitable donations by the gaming property.

Charitable Casino

“As a charitable gaming facility our mission is to help area charities raise funds,” a statement from the owner of the bowling alley and casino, the New Hampshire Group (NHG), said in a statement quoted by the Daily Democrat. “This expansion will allow our charitable partners to increase their revenue while additionally, providing our guests with a new dining concept, live entertainment space, and radio broadcast studio with more information coming soon.”

As a charitable casino, Filotimo Casino is required to make donations to charities. In 2023, NHG contributed more than $9M to some 300 approved nonprofits in New Hampshire.

Recently, New Hampshire Public Radio (NHPR) reported that traditionally, charitable casinos in the state are responsible for forwarding 35% of their proceeds to approved New Hampshire nonprofits.

Loss of Bowling Alley

As of this week, some lanes and an arcade in the Dover Bowl bowling alley have been removed. The alley, located in Dover’s Shaws Plaza Shopping Center, officially will close on April 29.

Dover Mayor Bob Carrier laments the loss of a popular and traditional bowling alley.

The thing I’ll say is, where are we headed? You shut that down, there’s no more bowling, and that pretty much eliminates those activities for young kids,” Carrier told the Daily Democrat. “It’s sad, it really is.”

“I’m sorry to see something like that closed because it’s good, clean fun,” the mayor continued in his statement about Dover Bowl. “Good, family, recreational fun.”

NHG owns Filotimo Casino & DraftKings Sportsbooks in Manchester and Dover, Wonder Casino in Keene, and Lebanon Poker Room & Casino.

Peninsula Pacific Entertainment (P2E) is the parent company of the four casinos and NHG. P2E was launched by Brent Stevens in 1999.
